:: Polish Pope Canonized

I am sure some of you had heard that two Popes were canonized (meaning they were named Saints) this past weekend - John XXIII and John Paul II. But, did you know that John Paul II was from Poland? Well, he was ;) And that, my friends, called for major celebrations throughout Poland, including right here in Wroclaw!
Here is a look at the stage that was set up in the Rynek of Wroclaw. Seriously, we have never seen anything of this scale in our market square! There was a 3-4 hour long concert about the Polish Pope's life, set to beautiful opera music. The concert could be heard walking within the square and was just lovely on a beautiful, spring day. It's kinda hard to see here, but on stage is a full orchestra and choir. Magical.
